| Due to the flooding in Thailand, Western Digital have shut down two factories in Thailand. Seagate Technology are also affected by the flooding, the supply chain for the components that go into hard disk drives is being disrupted.

On January 31st 2011, Intel announced a silicon level problem with its latest 6-series motherboard chipsets - the Intel P67 and Intel H67 for 2nd generation Intel Core i5/i7 2xxx series (socket 1155) processors. Intel halted production of the affected 6-series chipsets and began a recall of affected parts from the sales channel, undertaking measures to remedy affected boards & computer systems sold to consumers since January 9th. We will be making the P67 and H67 motherboards unavailable, until the 'B3' stepping of the P67 and H67 chipsets become available. Gigabyte has recently released a program that will check your motherboard if you are affected by this issue.
